Collaboration Makes Land Access Possible

Refugee and immigrant farmers in our network have gained access to farmland across the Valley through a variety of partnerships.

All Farmers works closely with land trusts, municipalities, private landowners, and organizations to find suitable land for farmers and create agreements that work for everyone involved. We are thankful to all of our partners in this process—including private landowners, Kestrel Land Trust, the Town of West Springfield and the City of Northampton, Grow Food Northampton, and the Meadow City Conservation Board for helping to make these land opportunities possible. Thank you!

In 2020, with the support of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, All Farmers embarked on the ambitious task of acquiring a piece of farmland that is large enough for 60 families, and close enough to Springfield to reach communities with limited transportation.  We are so proud to have land to start farming and do things with our own hands. The real job is when you’re doing things with your own hands, that is better than the paycheck you get from your employer.
