Goats and chickens

Last Saturday Pine Island Community Farm hosted a workshop for Bhutanese and Somali Bantu farmers interested in raising livestock. Chuda and Theogene have been growing their business for a number of years now--they sell hundreds of chickens and goats each year. It was a real treat for farmers to see the inner workings of a successful livestock business run by farmers from their same or other refugee communities.
